Greetings dear reader and nice one for reading this....
Ok so thats the niceties out of the way.
Now, I'm not much of a writer but after reading a good friend of mine's brilliantly crafted blog (you're welcome nick), i thought bugger it, i'll give it a go but you will have to excuse bad punctuation etc.
As the title suggests this is going to basically be stuff that happens in my bonce in written form. If you want you can leave a comment an we'll have a bloody good chat/debate because lets face it, we all love a good natter...
Now there is nothing i love more than the ol' freedom of speech. That is to say EVERYONE, man/woman/child/moose/liverpool fan is entitled to their opinion. That is not to say everyone's opinion is right, but simply they are entitled to believe whatever they want. If someone wants to believe that the colour of someones skin actually makes a difference or (the most laughable of all opinions) GOD EXISTS, thats fine you go ahead and think that mate, but while you do, in my head i'm thinking obviously a bit of a balloon-head, nobody of sound mind with the evidence available would come to that conclusion and I (which is the most important thing) certainly don't agree BUT... i will allow them to say their piece, and this seems to be the bit that people forget - the idea of a democracy is that everone gets a fair crack of the whip.
I do understand that the B.N.P have some dubious policies/beliefs/'morals'/values - but what i find amazing is that the people opposing one of them being on question time (all of whom i would say are opposing them for being either rascist or - more accurately - discriminatory) are doing the EXACT SAME THING. I actually think its worse to discriminate against someone for their ideas or thoughts than, for example, skin colour - the reason i say this is that there could be a genuine reason for not liking or trusting, lets say, a black man... If your only experience of a black man was the time you were beaten up by one you have a justifiable (if a bit ropey) reason to be wary of all black men... on the other hand were you to voice this opinion without prior explaining your reason, you would instantly be labelled rascist by those too quick to judge (or discriminate against) your rightful viewpoint.
And that, for now, is that...
Most of my articles will be along this line, not the bnp or rascism, but a bit of common sense - or more importantly a bit of logic (all be it my own unique brand of logic). I just think people these days are too quick to judge things without actually thinking about it first - with a bit of luck i will give you a few things to think about and debate with ya mates... Theres nothing better.
Much Love
Dave x

Yo boy
ReplyDeleteAgree with alot of that, except the part of "worse to discriminate against someone for their ideas or thoughts" because th person who has those thoughts is doing it concioulsy and by choice, the chose to think that about other people an not to open there mind, it wasnt all 'black mens' choice to beat some oen up as in your example...
I do believe that the BNP should be on question time tonight, whether we liek it or not they are a political party and all should be treated equaly (if we didnt we would be as bad as them surley?) and its the people of this countrys fault that they are in power, and not just the people who voted for them, but all of us; people who didnt vote at all, people who didnt campaign for other parties or people who didnt tell everyone they met how much of a rascist party that they are to stop others voting for them.
Read today that Lily Allen has given up blogging you you can take the help i feel! Keep up the good work you blogter!

You are egotistical, self absorbed and undoubtedly an Evertonian.
ReplyDeleteAs a Pakki living in Liverpool i am subject to constant irritations from people like you.
I believe that Christian holidays, anti muslim journalism and non ethnic employers should be banned/criminalised.
Employers who dont employ at least 40% (spick pakki jew negro) should be held accountable.
You are glorifying the BNP, commending the broadcasting of anti muslim views on the BBC and for that I find you abhorrent.
Let Jihad be your downfall.
Kind regards
to alzahinbulzan,
ReplyDeletei am not a racist in any way shape or form! however do you understand the concept of "freedom of speach"? Whilst i understand that as an "ethnic minority" in this country you must face a constant barrage of racism/discrimination (wich i find abhorrant) i must also bring to your attention this> banning/ criminalising christian holidays is an absurd and may i also add racist idea! this country has been predominantly cristian for hundreds of years! whilst i fully accept your right to practice your own religious beliefs, cultures and traditions in this country, i must also call into question your reasoning behind such a ridiculous statement!. Surely you can see that the banning of christian festivals to satisfy muslims (extreamest or not) is asking for a backlash of those of us who choose to enjoy christian holidays?. Would you prefer the whole of society to follow the muslim religion? beacause i can asure you that will never happen! The very idea that you would ban christians from practicing there beliefs is as abhorant as someone coming into your livingroom and burning your koran!. I would ask you to consider living peacefully and letting your neighbour practice there beliefs as they see fit. Statements like this make YOU part of the problem racism is a two way street my freind.
Thankyou
